The story happened on a street called Mocking Bird Lane.
No one knows for sure what town it was,
but I would suggest being careful on
Halloween night!
Maybe, just maybe,
the town could be mine,
OR even yours.
THE HOUSE ON MOCKINGBIRD LANE
There was an old lady who lived on Mockingbird Lane.
She lived in a cold, damp, dark, old house.
As legend has it,
The house was supposed to be Haunted.
The neighborhood children were always very nice to her
because their parents felt sorry for her,
and wanted a good, neighborly friendship.
Later that year,
the old lady became "tormently ill",
as the neighborhood had put it.
The old lady began seeing things.
She saw butcher knives, and blood.
She would chase the kids around,
shouting that she was going to hurt them.
One night while she was lying in bed,
she thought she heard violent screaming.
She got up and went into the living room,
and was never seen again!
The police suspected foul play
and sealed the old house off
with yellow crime tape.
Everyone obeyed;
they were afraid to enter the house.
All except the two twins, Tammi and Mandi.
They didn't believe the rumors
about the house being cursed and haunted.
So they decided to explore the house themselves.
They made it to the old ladies bedroom,
when the violent screams started.
Forgetting the story of the old lady,
they dashed down the stairs
and into the living room.
And were never seen nor heard from again.
1 year later........
Some newly weds were driving by
and spotted the little old house.
They thought it would be a great fixer-upper.
Of course,
not knowing the history of the little old lady
and the twins,
they bought it and moved in.
Shortly thereafter,
the new bride became pregnant.
They started decorating as soon as possible.
A new coat of white paint,
adorned with flowers and birds.
A new white crib.
One night after the baby was born,
they were all in bed and asleep,
when she were awakened by
violent wailing coming from the babies room.
She rushed in the room,
to find that the room was now black,
and the crib was old and rotted.
She grabbed her screaming baby and comforted her,
Wondering why her husband did not come.
Returning to her bedroom,
she found her husband laying in bed.....
DEAD!
As she ran back to the nursery,
she saw butcher knives and blood everywhere.
She ran into the livingroom to avoid the screams
coming from the nursery,
and never came out.
The next day the police found the baby
and placed it in an orphanage.
No one has ever seen the newly weds,
the old lady, Mandi or Tammi again.
But it is said,
on Halloween Night
you can still hear those violent screams
coming from the living room.
