My great grandfather haunted
my great grandmother and their youngest
daughter after he passed away.
Both his wife and his daughter
had abused him while he was alive.
My aunt would hold him down while
my great grandmother beat him.
When he was in the fields working,
if he wanted a drink of water,
he could not stop.
My grandmother brought
it to him in a bucket.
All of this took place before
people could afford to buy tractors.
The mule was hooked to a plow,
just like "Little House on the Prairie"™.
After he died,
they would hear him
scratching on the headboard of the bed.
Both my aunt and greatgrandmother
would often hear his
moans and groans during the night.
Often they saw a hand pass
over their faces.
He would shake the beds they slept in,
and generally made sure that
neither of them got any sleep
while they lived in that house.
My grandmother was so mean,
she refused to leave.
Many people have stayed in the house
to find out if there really was a ghost
in the house.
All of them have heard
and felt,
what both of those ladies did.
After my grandmother passed away,
the house was torn down.
My aunt asked for forgiveness
and received it.
And peace,
Until the day she also passed.
